We know that the universe is made up of matter but actually it's not, the universe contains only 5 % of matter, 25% of dark matter ( similar to matter posses mass but do not interact with light) and 70% of dark energy ( cause expansion of universe). Today we will try to understand about antimatter something opposite to matter, matter is everywhere for example trees rocks,stars even us are matter.
During the first second of Big bang,it produced particles, this particles comes in pairs like twins, 'identical but different in some factor' for example if we take protons it come with it's counter particle(antiparticle) called antiproton both has same mass but different charge, they both collide and produce radiation.

We can create this same condition in laboratories using particle collider, when we collide protons together it produces billions of particles which comes in Pairs (particle & anti particles) and in equal amount within fraction of seconds they collide and cancel each other.The energy content of antimatter is billion times higher than any conventional fuel,if we have 17 gram of antimatter it is enough to travel to Alpha centauri the second nearest star. But we are not able to create that much amount of antimatter it takes 1 billion years to make 1 gram of antimatter still now the CERN has produced only less than 10 nanograms of antimatter
There is something that really interesting, if matter and antimatter was created equally, how we left with matter not any trace of antimatter?what has happend to antimatter.Scientist believe that at the time of big bang there must be a slight change in the symmetry of production of matter and antimatter small unbalance, that is for every 1 billion and one matter there were 1 billion antimatter by this all antimatter cancelled and left with matter, sounds pretty small but it's enough to create a universe like this.Many physicist are still looking for an answer why there was a symmetrical change in the production of matter and antimatter? Still we don't have any answers.
